Hearth is our seasonal holiday scent, available each year only during November and December. Traditional holiday home scents are often cloyingly sweet and overpowering. Fresh and contemporary, Hearth is altogether different. First, because it's from us, Hearth is made only from natural essential oils--a just-right blend of juniper berry, bitter orange, clove bud and star anise. The scent--warm, inviting and modern--sets the perfect tone for any kind of holiday gathering, from a casual get-together to the most formal occasion. Hearth is our favorite holiday tradition here at Nancy Boy, which is probably why we sell out every year.
Room spray is the easiest way to be festive--just spritz it around a few minutes before guests arrive and wait for the compliments.

This is the hostess gift we bring to the hundreds and hundreds of fabulous holiday parties we're always invited to each year. OK, so we count each time Starbucks puts out some broken pieces of old oatmeal cookie as "a fabulous holiday party." Sue us.
But this is the easiest way to spread some holiday cheer, because it smells so gosh-darn good and is so stylishly decorative to-boot. First the scent, our seasonal tradition. Most holiday scents are too sweet and cloying. We avoid that problem by balancing the homey, warm notes of orange, cinnamon and star anise with fresh, foresty juniper. It's an amazing melange.
And the botanical arrangement is wonderfully festive, appropriate for men or women, and folks of any religious persuasion. Miniature pine cones, star anise (nature's own stars), dried Valencia orange peel, fragrant cinnamon sticks and cloves. Delightful to gaze upon, heavenly to breathe in.
Comes already boxed and be-ribboned with our signature blue satin, so save yourself $4 and don't request gift wrap at checkout. To see a larger view, click "more details" under the photo at left.

Pure Hearth essential oil can be used in so many ways--in an oil warmer or lightbulb ring, sprinkled on an old handkerchief to scent linens--you might find you'll want to stock up and use it year round, as many of our customers do.

Available in Hearth scent for November and December only!
These candles are unique. First, the natural scents are exquisite yet subtle, completely unlike the sickly-sweet ones available at Ye Olde Candle Shoppe at the mall. That's because we pair natural essential plant oils with natural soy wax from soybeans--a winning combination when it comes to clean-burning, freshly-scented candles.
Almost every other kind of candle (except beeswax) is made from petrochemicals--that's why they throw so much artificial fragrance in, to mask the horrible gassy smell of the candle while it burns. Also, soy burns as cleanly as you'd expect a pure vegetable wax to burn—you can put these candles on a bookcase and there won’t be a sooty, smoky mark (that’s also because the wicks are lead-free). Because they contain essential oils, these candles emit scent differently, by the pooling of the wax, not by the actual burning of the candle; you can light it, let it burn for about twenty or thirty minutes and then blow it out, thereby lengthening candle life.
Because our candles contain only natural essential oils for scent, they are subtle rather than scent-blasting. For more info, including a description of the scents, click "more details" under the picture at left. Choose signature, sweetgrass, spa or tea rose.

Available in Hearth scent for November and December only!
These superior scented soy candles are packaged in cute tote-able tins, perfect for a bathroom or to take with you on a road trip if the place you’re going isn’t as sweet smelling as perhaps, The Four Seasons or even maybe The No-Tell Motel. Because these candles scent your space from the pooling of the soy wax, you can light it, let it burn for about twenty or thirty minutes and then blow it out, which lengthens candle life. Choose signature, sweetgrass, spa, tea rose or hearth.
SIGNATURE is our most popular home scent. French lavender makes it calming and restorative, but the Washington peppermint and Tunisian rosemary give it clean, fresh, bracing notes to which both men and women are drawn.
CITRUS has been discontinued because this scent is so subtle it didn't translate well in candle form.
SWEETGRASS is our most complex home scent, in which we balance the springlike freshness of Italian lemon and Indian lemongrass with the woodsiness of Moroccan cedar and finish with a note of rose geranium from China. It’s an aromatic scent that recalls the perfect warm summer evening—lush, romantic, enveloping.
TEA ROSE is our floral home scent with a twist, in that it’s far lighter and more balanced than other florals. The addition of costly Brazilian rosewood adds pleasing depth, while real green tea from Japan conjures crisp, clean notes of spring. The overall effect is fresh-mown heaven.
SPA is our newest home scent but is also our second best-selling, after Signature. Composed of Australian eucalyptus, lemon and mint, it literally replicates the scent of an upscale European spa in your own home. It’s clean, fresh and lively and will perk up even the most dismal day—or surroundings.
HEARTH is our seasonal scent, available each year in November and December only. It's different than most other holiday scents, more modern and sophisticated because it's less sweet and cloying. The fresh foresty juniper is set off by spicy notes of star anise and clove and finished with bitter orange; no wonder we sell out each year.

Lots of folks might like their homes to enjoy the fresh natural scent that essential oils provide, but don’t want any hassle. This product, first popularized in those hyper-upscale hotels that cost more per night than most of our monthly mortgages, really fits the bill. You pour the essential oil blend in the glass apothecary bottle and stick the porous reeds in the bottle. End of story—your work is done. We offer this product (which includes everything you need—a dozen porous reed sticks, tasteful glass container and 2-ounce bottle of essential oil blend, enough to last for 5-6 months of continuous use, plus instructions) in all five of our custom-blended home scents: signature, citrus, sweetgrass, tea rose and spa. To read more about how this product works and about each scent, just click “more details” under the picture at left.

Replacement bottle of essential oil blend and new pack of a dozen porous reed sticks. (You need to change the sticks each time you replace the oil or change oil varieties.)
If you've never purchased the whole kit from us and have a container you want to use, this replacement pack would also be appropriate for you. One thing to note: the reason the glass container that comes with the kit is perfect for this application is that the neck is so slender—that is, it’s basically only large enough for the reeds to fit through. So if you’re thinking of just buying the oil and reeds and putting it all in another container, try to find one with a slender opening to avoid the problem of dirt and insects landing in the bottle.

This is the most exquisite room spray available anywhere—online or in a retail store. We tend to shy away from idle boasts so here’s the back-story. You can count the companies who use essential plant oils to scent their room sprays on one hand. Literally. Then, among those few, we’re the only one—bar none—to specify the high concentration of alcohol in our formulation. What this costly choice does (the government taxes alcohol like there’s no tomorrow—whether it’s going in your margarita or our room spray) is transform our room spray into a large bottle of fresh all-natural cologne for your home. In other words, we use the same technique top perfumers do to preserve and then atomize the clean crisp burst of fragrance from our proprietary blends of flowers, herbs and plant essences. If you grew up on Glade, these ambrosial mélanges aren’t in the same solar system. Or universe.
Perfect for spot cleaning smoke and other unpleasant odors from kitchens and bathrooms--it's also thoughtful to place a bottle in the guest bathroom. When entertaining, if you spritz this around before guests arrive, they’ll feel they’ve entered a separate world where all is luxury, calm and voluptuousness. Choose signature, citrus, sweetgrass, tea rose or spa. For more info on the scents, just click "more details" under the picture at left.

Signature is composed of French lavender, with our custom blend of lavender, peppermint and rosemary essential oils. To see how it stacks up against the other Aeromatics in terms of fragrance staying power, click "more details" under the picture on the left. You'll also get a rundown on all the home scents.
We’ve sold loads of these scented dried botanicals in the store over the years, and a beribboned box of them is truly the most tasteful and appreciated hostess gift, so we felt bad about keeping them from a hungry public. You’ll note we don’t call them “potpourris” and there is a reason: most potpourri is hideous. It smells artificial and gangrenous and looks like Holly Hobby dropped acid and went on a spree at the $1 store. Our Aeromatics are something altogether different. The delightful scents are, of course, from natural essential oils, while the actual botanicals are uncommonly elegant and decorative because actual gay men designed them! Gift-boxed with signature Nancy Boy ribbon.

Spa is composed of bael nuts, putka pods, amra pods and moneta leaf. Custom essential oil blends, invented by us and available nowhere else but here. This is 100% pure, undiluted plant oil, of the highest grade available. There are lots of things you can do with essential oil to make your already fabulous life even better:• Put several drops on a clean wet cloth and throw it into the dryer with your wet laundry, which will be naturally scented when dry. (Note that oil will discolor fabric when placed directly on it so use an old cloth.)• Place a few drops on a terra-cotta ring (if you don’t have one, see below) and place on a light bulb to scent a room• Place a handkerchief scented with a few drops of oil into your dresser to subtly scent your laundry. Choose signature, citrus, sweetgrass, tea rose or spa. For info on the scents, just click "more details" under the picture at left.

This is my favorite way to use essential oil, because the oil is diffused through steam, permeating the house in a rich, heady, natural fragrance. For some reason, though, the same people who have high-power jobs, raise children and know how to program a TiVO are intimidated by these, um, candle-powered urns, a fact that never ceases to make me chuckle. OK, here’s the drill: you put some water in the top part, you add about five drops of oil, you light the tea light candle (we include one to get you going) and in about 15 minutes are so mesmerized by the enchanting scent, you think you’re living in a new home. It’s really that simple. Because the oil is so concentrated, and you use so little each time, each bottle is good for many pleasant interludes. Includes full 1 ounce bottle of scented oil, ceramic oil warmer and directions, even though you’re way smart enough to figure it out without them. Choose signature, citrus, sweetgrass, tea rose or spa. For info on the scents, just click "more details" under the picture at left.

When we set out to make a dish soap, we wanted it to beat not only the supermarket brands, but also the "superpremium" brands like Caldrea and Mrs. Meyers available at stores like Williams-Sonoma.
Obviously the first order of business was to make the formulation eco-friendly, which almost none of the big supermarket brands are because they contain toxic ingredients and petrochemicals that require warning labels. (Interestingly, they don't disclose their ingredients, just the warning labels.) Ours is non-toxic, biodegradable, hypoallergenic and free of petrochemicals, and we disclose our ingredients (click "more details" under the picture at left).
But what good is a "green" product if it isn't effective? A superior dish soap must stand up to the greasiest pots and pans, while also cleaning fine glassware without spots or residue. This concentrated extra-strength formula gets the job done, while the aloe vera keeps your hands soft, naturally.
And, let's face it, doing the dishes is a chore. That's why every brand puts scent into their dish soaps, to make the drudgery a little less loathsome. But the scents are artificial, even among upmarket brands like Caldrea and Mrs. Meyers, who use a smidgeon of essential oil to be able to say they do, then dump a bunch of chemical fragrance into the vat like all the cheapies.
They aren't in the same league--or universe--as a product made only with 100% natural essential oils like ours. Whether you choose Signature with its fresh, lively combination of lavender, peppermint and rosemary, Lavender-Geranium, our most popular floral blend of lavender and rose geranium or Lemon Verbena, the tartly distinctive scent known in France as verveine, we can't promise that doing dishes will seem like a walk in a Spring meadow but at least it will smell like one.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PRODUCT MUST BE SHIPPED VIA FEDEX GROUND--IT IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR 2-DAY OR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING. If you really want it fast, call us for a quote on what it costs to ship it Express, and you can choose whether to send your kids to college or have your laundry soap a few days faster.
This formulation is a big departure from what’s available in the supermarket. The cheap industrial grade soaps in every supermarket brand of laundry detergent (both powders and liquids) are so crude and strong that they can never be fully rinsed out in the wash. In the dryer these soap residues form an invisible crust on every piece of fabric. The result? First, everything feels rough and uncomfortable. Second, the dried soap crystals rub together and cut the fabric (proof? lint in the lint trap). Third, this rubbing creates static cling. So when we developed our laundry soap, we formulated it with concentrated high-quality soap that powers out tough stains but also rinses out to almost imperceptible levels, thereby making it unnecessary to use a fabric softener or dryer sheet. This approach results in naturally soft, cuddly laundry, a dramatic reduction in static cling and a decrease in lint of at least 30% (check your lint trap!) thereby lengthening fabric life. Our soap is also highly eco-friendly: dye free, phosphate free, biodegradable, no animal byproducts or testing, gentle, low-sudsing and color safe. Formulated for use in both traditional top and newer front-loading (High Efficiency) washers. Ultra-concentrated for 30 large wash loads (60 loads in a front-loading HE washer). Laundry Queens everywhere, rejoice. Lightly and naturally scented. Choose original lavender, lavender-geranium or lemon verbena. (If you want even more arcane laundry info, just click the "more details" button under the picture on the left.)

Fresh, sweet-smelling laundry is one of life’s most heavenly pleasures. Again, the Europeans are one step ahead of the game, probably because they still iron (how do they find the time to iron, enjoy those marvelous three-hour lunches and have zillions of love affairs?). But you don’t have to iron to enjoy sheets and linens and jammies that smell like they’ve been airing in a spring garden. Just spritz this on any fabric you’d like to be lightly and pleasantly scented—that’s it! Our fragrant linen waters are made from steam-distilled plant essences and won’t stain. Choose signature, lavender-geranium or lemon verbena. (If you do use it as an ironing aid, this product should be sprayed on fabrics before ironing, not poured into the iron itself.)
