We have a customer in Washington D.C. who orders these by the dozen every month or so. We finally got up the nerve to ask her why and she graciously called us back and said her husband is in the diplomatic corps and they go to more parties and receptions than is healthy for someone who doesn’t drink to excess. She was given a box of the Signature-scented organic lavender buds, imported from France, several years ago and was so enchanted that she began bringing them to parties herself, to great acclaim. In fact, she laughingly credited her husband’s recent promotion to their bewitching fragrance, but we know it’s all her.

Let’s be frank and agree that budget comes into play when selecting a gift.. Otherwise, everyone would be giving each other 747 jets and monster yachts and Caribbean islands and birthday parties at which a fabulous rock group like Tony Orlando and Dawn play into the wee small hours of the morning. That having been said, it’s terribly discouraging to receive an inexpensive gift that is also bad, e.g. any book by L. Ron Hubbard, a handkerchief set or noxious drugstore perfume. We must rather strive to find lovely, useful presents that are also affordable, like this.

Please see above (Best Bang For The Buck No. 1) regarding why it is imperative that we not spend our hard-earned cash on cheap but horrid gifts.
