This deeply moisturizing after-shave is alcohol-free and was formulated especially for those with sensitive or dry skin. The fresh clean scent is derived from steam-distilled cucumbers, which also help soothe, heal and replenish just-shaved skin. We add a touch of witch hazel for gentle toning, but rather than use the commonly available type to which alcohol is added, we've sourced an all-natural witch hazel hydrosol (a steam distillation of the actual witch hazel plant).
Rose hip oil is another miracle emollient -- goes on smooth, absorbs quickly, lasts all day. It all adds up to one skin-feast of an after-shave, especially useful for those with sensitive, dry or easily irritated skin, or anyone who enjoys a skin-soothing, aromatically sensual treat. It's also a rewarding value when compared, as it so often is, to the Gentlemen's Refinery After Shave Balm, an excellent product priced at $37 for 3.4 ounces.
4oz/118ml
Usage InstructionsThis product is actually closer to a balm than a gel, and is highly emollient, so a little goes a long way. After you've shaved, rinse your face with warm water and dry it off with a towel. Start with a dab of the aftershave and either apply it directly to your face and rub it around to cover or apply it to your hands, rub them together and then transfer the product from your hands to your face. Make sure to cover the part of your neck where you've shaved. You shouldn't need to apply moisturizer over this product unless your skin is exceptionally dry.
IngredientsAloe vera, glycerin, cucumber hydrosol, distilled water, witch hazel hydrosol, rose hip oil, propylene glycol, essential oil, grapefuit seed extract.
People who like itsay it's light but moisturizes deeply and long-lastingly, that the scent is fresh and stronger than the shave cream "but in a really good way, more like the facial moisturizer" and that it's "the perfect balance between the lushness of a balm and the absorbency of a gel."
People who didn't like it said they didn't like the scent of cucumbers, preferred "less moisturizing" aftershaves (liked more bracing aftershave formulas)
