This is breaking every rule of marketing orthodoxy but hell’s bells; we think you’re adult enough for the truth. Through the years, the way that more and more money has been extracted from all of us is by making ever more complicated distinctions between all the lotions and potions we use that are, at the end of the day, pretty much the same. For example, while we might shudder at using, say, body moisturizer on our hands and hand lotion on our body, if we really stopped and thought about it, why should we? (Shudder, that is.) When you break it all down, a lot of the beauty products we buy are either soap-based (shampoo, bar soap, hand soap, body wash, etc) or lotion-based (moisturizer, conditioner, hand lotion, face creams, body oils, etc) that have been sliced and diced and named and renamed into literally thousands of different items so that more of your money flows into the six multi-national corporations who control 80% of the global beauty business. So what we’re saying is, while it might sound freaky at first to think about using a hand lotion on your knee, if it’s all you’ve got in the house for the moment, and your knee needs some lotion, and you like the scent and how it works, then maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to use it rather than have a dry knee until you get to the store to buy yet another specialized “Just For Dry Knees” product to clutter up your medicine cabinet.

SIGNATURE is our most popular scent. French lavender makes it calming and restorative, but the Washington peppermint and Tunisian rosemary give it clean, fresh, bracing notes to which both men and women are drawn.

CITRUS is our rarest, most subtle scent, composed of California pink grapefruit, and lemon and bergamot from Italy. Most citrus scents are too bright and sweet; by adding bergamot, the scarce citrus fruit that flavors Earl Grey tea, we’ve achieved a fragrant, harmonious balance that citrus aficionados adore.

SWEETGRASS is our most complex scent, in which we balance the springlike freshness of Italian lemon and Indian lemongrass with the woodsiness of Moroccan cedar and finish with a light note of rose geranium from China. It’s an aromatic scent that recalls a perfect summer evening—lush, romantic, enveloping.

TEA ROSE is floral with a twist, in that it’s far lighter and more balanced than other florals. The addition of costly Brazilian rosewood adds pleasing depth, while real green tea from Japan conjures crisp, clean notes of spring. To cut to the chase, it's like fresh-mown heaven and not at all, um, girly. (And we would know.)
