This light, fresh facial moisturizer is ideal for everyday use because it goes on so easily and absorbs instantly, hydrating without an oily feel. And because it's now our highest-volume skincare product we were able to upgrade the formulation without increasing the price. We've eliminated the parabens and added even higher-quality moisturizing ingredients so it absorbs faster and lasts longer.  The clean refreshing scent of fresh cucumbers from pure steam-distilled cucumber essence hasn't changed, so you get that spa sensation of cucumber-slices-on-the-eyes without actually having to go to the trouble. Maybe the most amazing thing about it is the value. You could buy the same thing from Sisley of Paris (Botanical Moisturizer with Cucumber, 1.5oz) for $165 (available at Neiman-Marcus) which is, let's see, at $110 per ounce versus $12.50 for ours, just 880% more expensive.

Some people really believe that there is something you can put in a facial moisturizer that could make it cost $165. There isn't. The most expensive ingredients you could ever purchase don't add up to nearly that much. We know because we scour the globe for the rarest, most effective ingredients available, like the steam-distilled cucumber in this moisturizer that is as costly as caviar by weight. But we don't have to put an ounce in each jar--and neither does our Parisian competitor, although at $165, they're charging you like they are. What they--and any advertised brand--are actually demanding that you pay for are their magazine, TV, billboard and online ads.

You can’t go wrong with either product quality-wise. The tea tree oil, shea butter and other plant-based ingredients, along with the subtle yet otherworldly scent the cucumber extract imparts make them uniquely effective and a sensual delight. It’s just up to you whether you’d prefer to pay $165 with ads or $25 without them.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Apply to the face after washing with a mild facial cleanser or non-alcohol toner or after shaving. This product can (should) be applied after alcohol-based aftershaves because they're so drying, but shouldn't really be used after our own aloe-based aftershave gels because that's too much glop to throw on your face at once.  This product doesn’t have an SPF (sun protection factor). Because many SPF moisturizers are actually somewhat drying due to the chemicals that provide sun protection, this product can be applied underneath the SPF moisturizer for superior moisturizing.

INGREDIENTS: Purified water, caprylic/capric triglyceride (from coconuts), cetyl alcohol (from coconuts), cetearyl alivate (from olive oil), sorbitan olivate (from olive oil & sorbitol), cucumber hydrosol, shea butter, lemon peel essential oil, allantoin, tea tree essential oil, corn oil, vegetable glycerin, dimethicone, caprylyl glycol (from coconuts), sodium benzoate, xanthan gum, phenoxyethanol, Vitamins D3 and E.

PEOPLE WHO LIKE IT say it's light but "gets the job done," that its “fresh” "perfect" cucumber fragrance is "otherworldly," "refreshing and lovely;" that it’s a great post-shave moisturizer for those who prefer a purpose-built moisturizer to the replenishing after-shave gel.

PEOPLE WHO DIDN’T LIKE IT wanted a heavier moisturizer, wanted an SPF in their moisturizer, didn’t like the cucumber scent.
