It’s unheard of in the beauty biz to offer only one shampoo but it’s also in line with our bizarre policy of truth-telling. There’s lots of money in getting people to believe they need special shampoos for dry hair, oily hair, mixed-up hair, colored hair—when the truth is that if the big multi-national conglomerates spent the significant resources necessary to make a truly superior product—one that gently cleanses each hair shaft without stripping it—99% of people’s needs would be addressed. But they plough all their money into marketing and overhead, so there's only pennies left over to make the actual product--even when we're talking about brands like Kiehl's and Aveda that cost the same as us.

That's how we're different. Unlike theirs, our shampoo is made with premium soap, not industrial grade surfactant that strips the hair. Unlike theirs, ours is scented only with all-natural essential plant oils, including French lavender, Tunisian rosemary and Washington peppermint, not artificial laboratory "fragrance" that actually damages natural hair. Unlike theirs, our shampoo has no artificial colors or dyes.

Our shampoo is extremely concentrated, so a little goes a long way. The premium rice and soy proteins fortify each hair shaft, while miracle ingredient Panthenol is absorbed by the hair to make it softer, smoother and shinier. That's important, because Panthenol is one of the few substances that actually stays in the hair shaft rather than simply evaporating as the hair dries. Because it's so expensive, however, it's been "cost contained" out of most shampoo formulations over the past few years.

One last note. Our shampoo doesn't produce gigantic whorls of lather, because even though we’ve all been trained to believe foamy lather is a sign of clean hair, it's actually a sign you’re shampooing with cheap bubble bath.

Jumping on the bandwagon, The Art of Shaving recently came out with an essential oil-based shampoo and out of the literally hundreds and hundreds of essential oils, they chose rosemary and peppermint; we're certain it's a coincidence.  Their knock-off of our best-seller costs $20 for 8 ounces (56% more per ounce) proving once again that in this business chutzpah is never in short supply.

10oz/296ml

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Thoroughly wet your hair. Apply a small amount of shampoo to your palms and work through the hair, gently massaging with the fingertips, not the fingernails, which can damage the hair and scalp, especially for those with thinning hair. Make sure to work through completely, but do not expect voluminous lather and do not add more product to generate such lather, which only strips the hair, making it brittle, dull and lifeless. Rinse. Do not repeat. Condition as necessary (if your hair is generally dry, flyaway, dull, etc.)

PEOPLE WHO DIDN”T LIKE IT didn’t like the scent, prefer shampoos that provide more lather and stronger fragrance
